Chiropractic

What is Chiropractic?
‍"Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. ‍"The purpose of spinal manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury." - American Chiropractic AssociationWant to read more? What should I wear to my appointment?
We suggest wearing comfortable clothing that will not restrict movement. You may be asked to change into a gown and/or shorts if needed for treatment.
Should I bring prior medical records (x-ray, MRI, blood work, etc.) to my appointment?
Yes. It is important to provide our doctors with a complete history of your condition(s).
Do I have to be referred by a Medical Doctor (MD)?
No, Doctors of Chiropractic can examine and treat without the need of a referral by a Medical Doctor.
Do you accept insurance?
We are not currently in-network with any insurance companies; however, we can provide you with the proper paperwork to submit your bill for possible reimbursement from your insurance company. Please note: we are a fee-for-service clinic, meaning payment is due at the time services are rendered.
How long will my appointment take?
Typically, appointments range from 15 - 60 minutes. Appointments for new patients typically range from 45 - 60 minutes. Appointments for returning patients typically range from 15 - 30 minutes.
Do all patients receive adjustments at their visit?
No. There are cases where adjustments may not be suited for certain patients. The doctor will provide you with a treatment plan best suited for you. If the treatment plan includes adjustments, and you do not want them, simply discuss this with your doctor and he or she will modify your treatment plan.

Massage

When should I arrive?
Arrive 15-20 minutes before your appointment to check-in, fill out any necessary paperwork, and change.
What should I wear to my appointment?
No specific clothing is required for your massage appointment.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Make sure to drink plenty of water before and after your visit as part of your healthy routine.
What should I expect during my appointment?
After you check-in, one of our team members will give you a tour and guide you back to your room. The therapist will have a consultation to discuss the specifics of the appointment. The therapist will then leave the room allowing you the privacy to undress to your comfort level and get comfortable under the sheets and blanket on the massage table. The therapist will then knock and await your confirmation to enter the room and begin treatment. Once your appointment time has ended, your therapist will let you know they are leaving the room and will meet you outside the room when you are ready. You can use this time to dress and gather your belongings before exiting the room. You will then be escorted back to the reception desk.

Laser Therapy

What is laser therapy?
It’s an FDA-cleared therapeutic treatment that manages pain and inflammation while accelerating tissue regeneration.
How does it work?
Laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spams, stiffness and pain.
Why do you use it?
We’ve added laser therapy to our practice because we want to provide an effective and safe treatment option for out patients to heal quickly, recover fully, and reduce pain effectively.
What does a treatment feel like?
There is little or no sensation during treatment. Occasionally, the patient feels mild, soothing warmth, or tingling sensations. Areas of pain or inflammation may be sensitive briefly before pain reduction.
Are there any side effects?
During more than twenty years of use by healthcare providers all over the world, very few side effects have ever been reported. Occasionally, some old injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days as the healing response is more active after treatment.
How often should I receive laser therapy?
Acute conditions may be treated daily, particularly if they are accompanied by significant pain. More chronic problems respond better when treatments are received 2 to 3 times a week, tapering to once every week or two as improvement is seen.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the nature of the condition being treated. For some acute conditions 4-6 treatments may be sufficient. Those of a more chronic nature may require 6-12 (or more) treatments. Conditions such as severe arthritis may require ongoing periodic care to control pain. Schedule an evaluation by our chiropractor for a diagnosis and treatment plan.
How long before I feel results?
You may feel improvement in your condition (usually pain reduction) after the very first treatment. Sometimes you will not feel improvement for a number of treatments. This does not mean that the condition is not improving. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3 or 4 sessions.
