Regenerative Class IV Laser Therapy

Why Laser Therapy?

Laser therapies have significantly impacted treatment for various conditions. Laser therapy facilitates treatment procedures with less pain, swelling, and scarring than conventional surgery and treatment options. Fortunately, things are only continuing to improve. The more advanced Class IV laser therapy is a newer, more powerful, and up-to-date laser therapy redefining treatment providing pain relief and anti-inflammation capabilities.

Photobiomodulation

Photobiomodulation occurs when red and infrared light causes photochemical reactions within the tissues of the body that induce various effects. Our laser is specifically programmed to deliver accurate wavelengths and dosages of laser for various conditions to reduce inflammation, reduce pain, accelerate tissue healing, and increase circulation.

Why Class IV Laser Instead of Other Classes?

Different laser therapy classes include I, II, III, and class IV, depending on the power. Class III, "cold," or low-level laser therapy, is the most common and widely used. But, class IV is gaining popularity with clinicians and is more effective than Class III. Unlike low-power lasers, Class IV laser therapy causes photobiomodulation and can penetrate more tissue using a high-powered laser to deliver specific wavelengths of light creating therapeutic effects and helping the body heal more effectively. Providing a larger dose makes class IV laser therapy more effective in treating most nerves, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments. Class IV laser provides a more effective alternative to invasive surgical procedures and relieves pain for patients with acute and chronic conditions. With Class IV, you can recover quicker.

A Detailed Look at Laser Therapy

Some Frequently Asked Questions

What Does Laser Therapy Feel Like?

Laser therapy is a painless procedure. The only sensation you may feel is a soothing warmth.

How Many Treatments are Needed?

For most acute conditions (severe and sudden onset) we recommend 6 treatments. These treatments require 3-10 minutes per session. We recommend receiving these treatments daily with no more than 2 days between sessions. The effects of laser therapy are cumulative.

For most chronic conditions (persistent and long-lasting), we recommend 10-12 treatments. These treatments require 3-10 minutes per session. We recommend receiving these treatments 2-3 times per week with no more than 4 days between sessions.

For neuropathic conditions (such as diabetic neuropathy), we recommend a minimum of 16 treatments. Neuropathic treatments require 20-30 minutes per treatment session. Read more about neuropathy here.

Once we've reached maximum medical improvement, we recommend maintenance sessions at least 1-2 times per month for all conditions.

How are Laser Treatments Sold?

We sell laser treatments in packages. While single laser therapy sessions can be purchased, we do not recommend buying a single session unless you've received prior authorization from our chiropractor. Laser treatments are cumulative, and for optimal results, we recommend completing a treatment plan. Our packages are sold based upon current research and clinical data. We sell packages of 6 or 10 treatments. Treatment packages must be used within 1 year of the purchase date.

A single treatment session is called a "booster" session. Booster sessions are perfect for once you've completed your treatment package and only need one or a few more treatments. Booster sessions are also great for maintenance visits.

Can I Come in for Laser Treatment Without Chiropractic Care?

Yes. Often we recommend other treatments in addition to laser therapy, such as manual therapy or spinal decompression. However, laser treatments can be provided without additional treatments. An examination by our chiropractor is required before laser treatment to evaluate your condition and develop a treatment plan.

Get Laser Therapy From the Chiropractors You Can Trust

Most patients experience immediate results, while some may take a few days or weeks to recover. Most acute conditions only require 4-8 treatment sessions and are generally treated daily or every other day. Most chronic conditions require 6-10 treatment sessions, and treatment sessions are typically required 2-3 times per week.

Class IV laser therapy provides a painless treatment option for chronic conditions, acute conditions, and post-activity injuries. At RYSE Chiropractic, we endeavor to give you the best laser therapy experience.

I highly recommend RYSE Chiropractic to anyone who is searching for a chiropractor. The atmosphere is very welcoming and nonjudgmental. The office is adorable, relaxing, and always clean. I have always experienced short waiting room time and Dr. Savoie is the one who brings you back to the room. So, you do not have to wait to be seen once you are called back. Which makes the experience even better. Dr. Ryan Savoie is extremely attentive and easy to talk to. He will be sure to address all your concerns and he goes above and beyond for his patients. I always leave feeling so much better and way more relaxed. It is nice to have a doctor that you do not dread going to. I look forward to the visit each time! Hands down the best possible experience every time! I am so glad that this is the practice I decided to go with. I am thankful for the amazing care I receive at RYSE.
